I always envisioned Pittsburgh as a far more superior city than Clevand, Ohio(which i grew up by). I thought that the city would be cleaner, safer, and overall a more productive environment to live in. I looked at pictures of Pittsburgh and was extremely impressed with how the city looked and thought that it would be a great place to live in and even raise a family if it came to that. I honestly dont remember seeing Pittsburgh in movies, books, or newspapers but i remember visiting Pittsburgh once and i clearly remember it being very colorful and larger than life. I wanted to grasp the city at the time but couldnt because i was only there for a measly 2 days. I left with a very good first impression and it also had a great impact on my descision to come to school here.

Well I now officially live here and i must say that I am rather impressed with the city just the way I thought it was going to be. It is a clean, safe, and it is a productive environment to live in. I never find myself bored and i am always doing stuff that i love to do. I have encountered more interesting things here then i have ever encountered in my hometown. To name such topics is I got the chance to catch Paul Haggis new film being shot right near my dorm however it was only second unit but it was still great to watch them set of their track shots, look at the 35mm cameras, and see some action happening. I love E Carson street because of the vast amounts of places to go to. I will be spending a good amount of time there. I am a huge movie buff and when i got to see the AMC Loews Waterfront, I just about died with pure excitement. The interior design in that building is just beyond amazing with its over-sized conession area, giant sized pillars, bar/resturaunt, and not mention the big screens themselves. The sound just about blew my socks off, the picture quality was top-notch and not to mention that they have an IMAX in there too.

I look forward to my next couple of years here because these will be the most important and productive years of my life and will also determine whether how well or not well i am good at my job which is filmmaking. The city will increase the quality of my films and I honestly can not wait to see what I come up with here. I am pumped to the tip top of my abilities to shine my creative skills to the audience.
