I am going to talk about a historic landmark here in Pittsburgh and I will give you clues as to what the place could be. Without further ado, let’s begin!
In 1873, the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad was first chartered in 1877. In 1879, the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad officially opened for commercial traffic and later became known as the Little Giant for the amount of tonnage that it moved. After World War II, the place had begun to become lonely and the companies facility was in no need to help anything.
This historic landmark was now in danger of becoming extinct to mankind but the P&LE had developed the place for new uses to the public. They had developed hotels and parking areas and about 19 years of construction to this area, It had now become a major area to hang out, eat, party, and go to get some Steelers clothes.
It also supports what used to be a Pittsburgh Terminal train station that was built in 1900 but today, the historic building is being used to home famous restaurants and wardrobe along with a cigar shop. This place becomes a party house on Friday and Saturday night. It has a rather large water fountain in the middle of the place that lights up and plays music during shows that it performs whenever the weather is appropriate. It is across one of the bridges from the city area of Pittsburgh. Boats and such depart and arrive near this area. It also supports an incline that takes you up to Mount Washington. This place also has a large steel pot that is near the water fountain. It is approximately a 52 acre playground. What historic landmark am I?
